Education Unlimited has taken two of our most popular programs, Public Speaking and Leadership, and developed them into a dynamic new program for English Language Learners.

This unique program will welcome Intermediate to Advanced Intermediate students from around the world who wish to improve their English skills in an immersive, fun and supportive atmosphere.Students will experience the beautiful UC Berkeley campus as they will live in the UC Berkeley Residence halls and eat their meals in the UC Berkeley dining hall. As they are immersed in the heart of this prestigious American University students will interact daily with native speakers as they gain confidence and fluency.

Class sessions during the program will be broken into two focus areas. The first week will focus on Public Speaking, while the second week will focus on the development of leadership skills. During each week, students will gain the skills necessary to be successful in the business world.

The first week of the program will focus on business English through Public Speaking. Education Unlimited has been an industry leader in Public Speaking instruction for over 20 years. Students will focus on the mastery of English fluency while learning the grammar and vocabulary that will be useful to them as they develop their own authentic voice.Students will learn how to do effective presentations, participate in meetings, write for business situations as well as develop strong interview techniques.

During the second week of the program the focus will shift to leadership. Students will gain the confidence to interact appropriately in formal and informal social situations. They will learn the appropriate ways to work in a group as they participate in daily fun, hands on activities.This week is constructed with the view that the most significant way to encourage students into earning and taking real future leadership roles is to develop the skills and capabilities that will enable students to speak up in class or the workplace, solve problems creatively and to communicate with confidence. Towards that end students will learn how to communicate effectively in a group setting.

Finally, even when students are not in the classroom their learning will continue as they experience American culture hands on. Students will have the opportunity to participate in American past times off campus through activities designed to allow them to interact with native speakers.

Ultimately we strive to have each student demonstrably improve from whatever level of ability they come with to camp- each student should leave camp more confident, more fluent, with a much clearer vision of what their personal next steps are, and with improved skills that will allow them to continue their journey towards complete English fluency.
